RBI Digital Lending Guidelines & Your Rights
Last updated: 16 July 2026
Kredilo operates as a Lending Service Provider / technology platform for our NBFC partner, Maple Mercantile Private Limited (Maple Finance). We follow the Reserve Bank of India’s Digital Lending guidelines. Here is what that means for you.
1. Key Fact Statement (KFS)
Before you accept any loan, you receive a Key Fact Statement showing the sanctioned amount, net disbursal, all fees, interest, total repayable and the all-in Annual Percentage Rate (APR). There are no charges outside the KFS.
2. All money flows are direct
Disbursal goes directly from the lender’s bank account to your bank account, and repayments go directly to the lender. Kredilo never routes loan money through a personal or intermediary account.
3. Cooling-off period
You may exit the loan during the cooling-off period stated in your agreement by repaying the principal and proportionate charges, without penalty.
4. No hidden charges, no penalty for prepayment
Interest accrues at the disclosed daily rate on the outstanding principal. You can over-pay or foreclose any time with zero prepayment penalty — paying early simply reduces the interest you owe.
5. Your data
We collect only the data needed to assess and service your loan, with your explicit consent, and never access your phone contacts, gallery, or media. You can withdraw consent and request deletion. See our Privacy Policy.
6. Recovery with dignity
Collection is fair and respectful, only during permitted hours, and never involves harassment. Report any misconduct via Grievance Redressal.
7. Grievance & ombudsman
Every borrower has a clear escalation path to a grievance officer and, ultimately, to the RBI Ombudsman. See Grievance Redressal and our Fair Practice Code.
Verify our lending partner’s NBFC status on the RBI website’s list of registered NBFCs before borrowing.
